Mark 11:26 (Amplified Bible)

11:26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings.

You are either divorced or a divorced person.

VII. EXPLICATION:

C. Purpose: To present JESUS of Nazareth as GOD's Suffering Servant, the Redeemer of the world

E. Main Theme: CHRIST is the tireless servant of GOD and humanity.

10:45 For even the Son of Man came not to have service rendered to Him, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for (instead of) many.

A. But if you do not forgive

3:13 Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you.

Forgive means:

Forgiveness to CHRISTians are forgive and forget. It's compared to a married couple who forgets and abandons completely the other partner when they are divorced. You go away leaving something behind, you abandon it leaving it destitute (friendless, comfortless, needy)

B. Neither Your FATHER in Heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings

"neither will your Father in heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings."

It's just your consequences of unforgiving spirit.

2 Timothy 3:2-3 (New International Version)

3:2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,

3:3 without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good,

This is just the spirit of the world today.

Selfie - People will be lovers of themselves,

Unforgiving - is like you're a trucebreaker, (one who violates a truce, covenant or engagement). Forgiveness and unforgiveness are both compared to a divorce. If you forgive, you are divorced from any offenses done to you by the person, but if you don't forgive you are a divorced person. So forgiving or unforgiving someone only affects yourself. You are divorced or a divorced person.

I would rather choose to be divorced from any offenses and future offenses of any person against me forever.

Matthew 18:21-22 (The Message)

18:21 At that point Peter got up the nerve to ask, "Master, how many times do I forgive a brother or sister who hurts me? Seven?"

18:22 Jesus replied, "Seven! Hardly. Try seventy times seven.

This is the punishment of Lamech upon himself.

IX. CONCLUSION:

You are either divorced from any future offenses or a divorced person.
