VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. For we have become fellows with CHRIST

"For we have become fellows with Christ (the Messiah) and share in all He has for us,"

Fellows or Partakers came from the Greek word: "metochos" meaning:

1. sharing in, partaking

2. a partner (in a work, office, dignity)

We are CHRIST's partner and we share in everything CHRIST has from the FATHER GOD.

We share in CHRIST's Heavenly calling. JESUS is our Apostle and High Priest of our declaration.

Hebrews 3:1 (New King James Version)

3:1 Therefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus,

We share in CHRIST's Life, it's not the life that we lived anymore, but it's CHRIST being lived inside of us.

1 Corinthians 1:30 (Amplified Bible)

1:30 But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God, [revealed to us a knowledge of the divine plan of salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as] our Righteousness [thus making us upright and putting us in right standing with God], and our Consecration [making us pure and holy], and our Redemption [providing our ransom from eternal penalty for sin].

Galatians 2:20 (Amplified Bible)

2:20 I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.

B. We share all He has for us

"if only we hold our first newborn confidence and original assured expectation [in virtue of which we are believers] firm and unshaken to the end"

1. If only we hold our first newborn confidence

2. If only we hold to our original assured expectation

Our "confidence" is "hupostasis" in Greek, meaning:

1. a setting or placing under

2. that which has foundation, is firm

Our confidence is different from the world's confidence, that is self-confidence which are cursed by GOD. (Jeremiah 17:5) but our confidence is our faith (Hebrews 11:1, substance is also confidence) and our confidence is based on the Person of JESUS CHRIST. (Hebrews 1:3)

Jeremiah 17:5 (Amplified Bible)

17:5 Thus says the Lord: Cursed [with great evil] is the strong man who trusts in and relies on frail man, making weak [human] flesh his arm, and whose mind and heart turn aside from the Lord.

Hebrews 11:1 (Amplified Bible)

11:1 NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Hebrews 1:3 (Amplified Bible)

1:3 He is the sole expression of the glory of God [the Light-being, the out-raying or radiance of the divine], and He is the perfect imprint and very image of [God’s] nature, upholding and maintaining and guiding and propelling the universe by His mighty word of power. When He had by offering Himself accomplished our cleansing of sins and riddance of guilt, He sat down at the right hand of the divine Majesty on high,

IX. CONCLUSION:

We are unshaken because JESUS is our Firm Foundation.

2 Timothy 2:19 (Amplified Bible)
