VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. CHRIST - Faithful Son over the FATHER'S House

"But Christ (the Messiah) was faithful over His [own Father’s] house as a Son [and Master of it]."

Hebrews 1:2 (Amplified Bible)

1:2 [But] in the last of these days He has spoken to us in [the person of a] Son, Whom He appointed Heir and lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time [He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order].

John 3:35-36 (Amplified Bible)

3:35 The Father loves the Son and has given (entrusted, committed) everything into His hand.

3:36 And he who believes in (has faith in, clings to, relies on) the Son has (now possesses) eternal life. But whoever disobeys (is unbelieving toward, refuses to trust in, disregards, is not subject to) the Son will never see (experience) life, but [instead] the wrath of God abides on him. [God’s displeasure remains on him; His indignation hangs over him continually.]

CHRIST was and is Faithful as a Son to all GOD's House, that's us. We are the House of GOD built by JESUS Himself. Our LORD JESUS is the Head of this House - the Church.

B. We are GOD's House

"And it is we who are [now members] of this house, if we hold fast and firm to the end our joyful and exultant confidence and sense of triumph in our hope [in Christ]."

1. Hold fast - means to possess, to retain, to take hold.

2. Hold firm our joyful, exultant confidence and sense of triumph in our hope in CHRIST

We received this all by faith.

Hebrews 10:23 (Amplified Bible)

10:23 So let us seize and hold fast and retain without wavering the hope we cherish and confess and our acknowledgement of it, for He Who promised is reliable (sure) and faithful to His word.

Hebrews 10:35 (Amplified Bible)

10:35 Do not, therefore, fling away your fearless confidence, for it carries a great and glorious compensation of reward.
