Jesus Gives Aid to the Believer

Scripture: Hebrews 2:16-18

Theme: God calls us and Jesus aides us in carrying out God’s calling on our life.

Illustration: A soldier cannot win the battle unless he has a support system.

Introduction

A human life is the battle ground where God and Satan fight for control of the individual. Both utilize their voice to persuade the individual. The battle rages within, and even though the believer has God on his/her side, God usually will not intervene unless the believer fights the battle God’s way.

Winning the battle involves knowing much about participants. The believer must know what the Bible says about God and how He lives in the heart and life of the believer. The believer must know what the Bible says about the enemy and how to deal with him. The believer must know what the Bible says about human nature and how to deal with it.
