1: WHAT IS THE VALUE OF OUR SOUL?

B) OUR SOUL IS ETERNAL

C) THE VALUE OF A SOUL IS GREATER THAN ANY WORLDLY TREASURE.

POINT: WE ARE BOUGHT WITH A PRICE, THE PRICE OF JESUS CHRIST CRUCIFIED FOR OUR SINS. THE BLOOD OF GOD’S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, THE VALUE OF OUR SOULS IS MORE THAN WE CAN UNDERSTAND.

2: WHY IS THE SOUL OF SO MUCH VALUE?

A) WE ARE NOT OF VALUE BECAUSE WE LOVE GOD

B) WE ARE OF VALUE BECAUSE GOD LOVES US

C) OUR SOUL IS OF VALUE BECAUSE HE CREATED IT

D) OUR SOULS NEED GOD

POINT: GOD LOVES US JUST AS WE ARE, BUT ALSO HE LOVES US MORE BECAUSE HE CAN’T LEAVE US THE WAY WE ARE.

1: VALUE OF RELATIONSHIPS

A) MEMBERS OF CHRIST

B) JOINED UNTO THR LORD IS ONE SPIRIT

C) OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS SHOULD BE OF MORE IMPORTANCE THAN ANY PHYSICAL RELATIONSHIP

POINT: CHRISTIANS SHOULD SEEK TO HAVE A RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST, THE EFFECT OF A RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST IS MORE FULFILMET IN OUR PHYSICAL RELATIONSHIPS.

2: AT CORINTH

A) THE CORINTHIANS WERE VERY SEXUALLY ILLICIT

B) THEY THOUGHT OF SEX AS NO DIFFERENT THAN BEING HUNGRY AND EATING

C) PAUL WRITES TO THE CHURCH TO EXPLAIN THE CHRISTIAN IS TO BE A VESSEL UNTO THE HOLY SPIRIT.

D) FLEE FORNICATION

POINT: BEING SURROUNDED BY A SECULAR WORLD SET ON CONSUMING THIGS UPON IT’S OWN DESIRES CAN OFTEN TEMPT AND LURE THE CHRISTIAN INTO SIN. THE SIN HURTS OUR ABILITY TO CARRY OUT OUR WORK FOR CHRIST.

B) THE TEMPLE, THE DWELLING PLACE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

E) AND IN YOUR SPIRIT

POINT: WE COME TO CHURCH TO GLORIFY GOD TO WORSHIP TO PRAISE GOD. OUR BODY IS THE CHURCH, THE TEMPLE WE ATTEND EVERYDAY WE SHOULD TREAT IT AS WE WOULD THE CHURCH BUILDING.

CONCLUSION: 1 COR 7:23

YOU ARE BOUGHT WITH A PRICE; BE YE NOT THE SERVANTS OF MEN.

IN THE DAYS OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE PEOPLE WOULD VOLUNTARILY SELL THEMSELVES INTO SLAVERY FOR WAY OF MAKING A BETTER LIFE FOR THEMSELVES, A VERY COMMON PRACTICE IN ROMAN TIMES. PAUL URGES US TO REMEMBER JESUS HAS BOUGHT AND PAID FOR US WE NEED NOT DEPEND ON ANY MAN TO DELIVER US.
