What Is He Looking At ?

WHAT IS HE LOOKING AT ?

Introduction:

Have you ever had the feeling that some body was watching you? That you had a pair of eyes on you ...but you just could not point out where they were. Causes you to feel uneasy.....Or maybe you’re in a restaurant you see someone intensely staring ...at someone, or at something.....But you can’t figure out what they are looking at.... So you ask the question. WHAT ARE THEY LOOKING AT !!!!

Someone is watching you and I today. Whether we realize it or not, and that someone is Jesus ! Jesus is looking at the church today. In fact he is right in the midst of the Church. Taking a good look, his penetrating eyes are looking at very specific things in the church.

WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND ...WHAT HE IS LOOKING AT !!!!

TEXT MARK 11: 11.read ....

Notice as Jesus entered the temple he looked around at all things.

What is he looking at ?

I. HE LOOKS AT THE PLACE OF WORSHIP.

A. DOES HE SEE AN OPEN DOOR OF ADMITTANCE ?

( is Christ welcome in this Church )

B. DOES HE SEE A PLACE OF PRAYER ?

( Some today say no place for corporate prayer in church )

1. Acts 2:42 read early church meet in prayer.

2. Jesus said my father’s house is to be a house of prayer. Mark 11: 17

C. DOES HE SEE ON GOING ADORATION ?

( Worship, love, praise )

LET US INVITE THE LORD JESUS CHRIST INTO THE CHURCH THIS MORNING. LETS MEET HIM IN PRAYER ....LETS ADORE HIM WITH ALL OUR HEARTS.

LEST OUR CHURCH BECOMES COLD AND DRY VOID OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD.

WHERE THERE IS NO WOOD THE FIRE GOES OUT. Proverbs 26: 20.

NOT ONLY DOES HE LOOK AT THE PLACE OF WORSHIP.......

II. HE LOOKS AT THE PEOPLE WHO WORSHIP.

A. He looks at our love.

1. As seen in the congregation. ( love for each other)

B. He looks at our lives.

1. conduct...behavior.....( do we cause others to be critical of the gospel )

C. He looks at our commitment.

1. To the word . (2: Tim 3:16 ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD AND IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE FOR REPROOF FOR CORRECTION FOR INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS. )

( To many today feel they can change Gods word.) (Church’s, Individuals)

2. To the work. (are we about the fathers business. )

3. Does he see a people that are commitment to the Great Commission? Mathew 28:19-20

CONCLUSION.

JESUS WASN’T PLEASED WITH WHAT HE SAW IN THE TEMPLE. HOW DO WE KNOW THIS ...LETS READ THE REST OF THE STORY .....

Read Mark 11 :11-15.

JESUS SAW THE FIG TREE FULL OF LEAVES. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A TESTIMONY THAT FIGS COULD BE FOUND. (all show no fruit)

AS JESUS LOOKS AT THE CHURCH TODAY. DOES A SEE A TREE FULL OF LEAVES BUT NO FRUIT.

REMEMBER WHAT JESUS SAID TO THE SEVEN CHURCH’S IN REVELATIONS.

TO EACH HE SAID I KNOW YOUR WORKS !

JESUS HAD A WORD FOR THOSE CHURCH’S . THAT WORD IS STILL FOR THE CHURCH TODAY .

READ.........REVELATION 3 : 20-22.

WHAT DOES JESUS SEE IN HIS HOUSE TODAY.....HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT WHAT HE SEES AT HARMONY GROVE THIS MORNING ......HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT WHAT HE SEES IN YOU?
