Summary: what should you remember about a prophetic word

What should you remember about a prophetic word, the Pentecostal/charismatic church today is full of people giving us a word present and future events, or thing's that will happen in your life. What should you remember when you hear a prophetic word, (first, second, third), you should remember that:

1. It May Not Be Perfect.

What should you remember about a prophetic word, it be not be perfect. Remember the word's of the Apostle Paul who reminds us in 2 Cor 4:7, "we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us." What is the Apostle Paul saying, he is telling us this earthen vessel is not perfect and may get in the way in one way or another while a prophetic word is being spoken. This is why he says in 1 Thess 5:21, "Test all things;". What should you remember about a prophetic word, you should remember that it may not be perfect.

2. If It Sounds Too Good To Be True, It Probably Isn't.

What should you remember about a prophetic word, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't. I believe that God can make the impossible - possible, I believe that God can move the unmoveabe, and I believe that God is able to make a way where there seems to be no way. But don't let your faith become a walk by what someone has told you, if it's from the Lord it will come to pass, if it doesn't don't let your faith become disillusioned, disappointed, or discouraged. Remember the word's of the Apostle Paul in 2 Cor 5:7. "For we walk by faith, and not by sight." Keep your spiritual balance, "as the Apostle Paul say's in 1 Thess 5:21, "hold fast that which is good." What Should you remember about a prophetic word, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't, keep your spiritual balance and let God bring it to pass, don't go by what someone has said.

3. It May Not Be From God.

What should you remember about a prophetic word, it may not be from God, remember what the Apostle Paul say's in 2 Cor 11:14, 'For Satan himself tranforms himself into an agel of light." Not every dream, vision or prophetic word is from God, as it says in 1 Thess 5:21&22, "Test all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil." If what has been spoken to you has any form of darkness, it's not from God. What should you remember about a prophetic word, it may not be from God.

Concl; What should you remember about a prophetic word, you should remember Proverbs 3:5&6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct ypur paths." Let's all come up front for a time of prayer and praise as we sing, Tis So Sweet to trust in Jesus.
