Summary: One of the most important steps we can take toward achieving our greatest potential in life is to learn to monitor our thoughts and its impact on our attitude.

One of the most important steps we can take toward achieving our greatest potential in life is to learn to monitor our thoughts and its impact on our attitude.

Everything we perceive in the physical world has its origin in the spiritual.

If someone feeds his mind with negative thoughts of worries, fear, anxiety and confusion, his life becomes one of frustration, fear, anxiety, and worry. if another person feeds his mind with positive thoughts of a better future, good and worthwhile goals and work towards them, it will become a reality.

Majority of people who commits suicide start thinking about it from their mind before they action it. When some people feel they are ugly, they go for boob job, bum job and all sort of cosmetic surgery.

I heard the story of a Nigerian girl who went to America to enlarge her bottom and she died because of that surgery. It all start from her mind.

Ladies, sometimes we need to look at ourselves in the mirror and speak this verse upon our life daily.” I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”Psalm 139:14 .

what is on your mind? do you have anger,fear, lust, bitterness, jealousy,lies or hatred in your mind.

Are you thinking of harming someone because you think they are better than you? are you thinking of changing your partner with someone better, or are you thinking of taking terrible action because of fear, worry and anxiety. Are you even thinking of winning someone over with lies and deception?

Who are your friends?If you hang around bad friends that uses coarse language, have negative thought, drinks ,lies, smokes, fornicates, watch wrong movies , listen to wrong music, play wrong games

and have self-pity, you will soon think and act like them .

So many people have left Great Britain today because of Brexit, even when divorce negotiation is still going on. Some have sold their properties and belonging because of fear of the unknown.

Lots of people have taking their own life because of failure, disappointment,disease, confusion,marital issues etc.

Psychologists and social thinkers warn that if we think negative thoughts for too long, then we’re in danger of acting on it.

The most vulnerable thinking times for me are bed time and When am alone.

During this period, I reflect on past conversations and interactions, sometimes angrily or bitterly.

But then I found meditation on the word of God to be the best solution to this issue.

Joshua 1:8 says: “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

If a negative or harmful thought comes into your mind, get it out asap and replace it with the word of God!

B. Analyse what goes on in your mind

C. meditate on the word of God

D. Know that you are what you think you are

E. Think and speak positive things about yourself.
