Introduction:

A. Words – Jeering destroys morale, weakens resolve

B. Physical Attack

1. Accompanied by morale attack

2. The harder Satan attacks, the more certainly you are in God’s will.

C. Murder –

1. The final ploy

2. God’s people are often despised because we answer to a higher power

3. This threatens Man’s (Satan’s) power base.

II. The Defense

A. The Prayer Response – The one concern of the Devil is to keep Christians from praying. He fears nothing from prayerless studies, work or religion. He laughs at our toil, mocks at our wisdom, but trembles when we pray. Samuel Chadwick
