When We Can't, God Can

Summary: Learn that God can help us in whatever we face.
When we canÕt, God can - Jer. 32:15-23, 27
I. Things were not looking good for Israel nor for Jeremiah
A. The Babylonians were beseiging Jerusalem - vs. 1-2
B. Jeremiah was in custody for preaching the Word of the Lord - vs. 2-3
C. Zedekiah the king wasnÕt a God fearing king - 2 Kings 24
1. He did evil - vs. 18-19
2. He did not listen to God
3. He had a tragic ending
a. Neb slew his sons in front of him
b. They put his eyes out
c. Bound him with fetters
D. There was famine in the land - 2 Kings 25:3
E. Jerusalem was broken down
F. They had no men of war
G. Neb burns down the house of God, the kings house, and all the houses of Jerusalem
*********** I would like to bring out two phrases in two versesÉ ***********
1. vs. 17
2. vs. 27 ÉÉÉ THE ANSWER IS NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO, NO
I. BECAUSE GOD CAN KEEP HIS PROMISES
A. Define = a declaration made by one person to another which binds the person who made it
1. In the Bible it is GodÕs assurance that He will keep His Word
B. GodÕs promises that we can claim
1. His presence - Heb 13:5 ÉÉ Matt 28:20
¥ Jacob ¥ Isaiah
¥ Moses ¥ Haggai
¥ Josuha ¥ Paul
¥ David
2. His Peace
Jn 14:27 É Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
3. His Provedence
Rom 8:28 É And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
4. His Power - Isa 40:29-31
5. His Protection - 1 Cor 10:13

II. BECAUSE GOD CAN SOLVE MY PROBLEMS
A. Children of Israel to the present
B. God specializes in solving my ÒIMPOSSIBILITESÓ
1. Is ÒSICKNESSÓ to hard for the Lord
2. Is ÒOVERCOMING FEARÓ to hard for the Lord
3. Is ÒDEPRESSIONÓ to hard for the Lord
4. Are ÒMARRIAGE PROBLEMSÓ to hard for the Lord
5. Are ÒFINANCIAL DIFFICULTIESÓ to hard for the Lord
6. Are ÒNEGATIVE CIRCUMSTANCESÓ to hard for the Lord
C. The problem with my problems is I try to solve my problems
D. Do you have rivers in your life you cannot cross É Do you have mountians you cannot climb
E. God can solve my problems É He has a proven track record
NOTE: GOD CAN SOLVE MY PROBLEMS BUT NO NECESSARILY REMOVE MY PROBLEMS
