Romans 5:8 (Amplified Bible)

But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.

Romans 5:8 (King James Version)

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

A. GOD showed His Love toward us, while we were still yet sinners

"But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners,"

Ephesians 1:6-8 (Amplified Bible)

[So that we might be] to the praise and the commendation of His glorious grace (favor and mercy), which He so freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.

In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses), in accordance with the riches and the generosity of His gracious favor,

Which He lavished upon us in every kind of wisdom and understanding (practical insight and prudence),

Ephesians 2:7 (Amplified Bible)

He did this that He might clearly demonstrate through the ages to come the immeasurable (limitless, surpassing) riches of His free grace (His unmerited favor) in [His] kindness and goodness of heart toward us in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 1:16 (Amplified Bible)

But I obtained mercy for the reason that in me, as the foremost [of sinners], Jesus Christ might show forth and display all His perfect long-suffering and patience for an example to [encourage] those who would thereafter believe on Him for [the gaining of] eternal life.

Romans 5:20 (Amplified Bible)

But then Law came in, [only] to expand and increase the trespass [making it more apparent and exciting opposition]. But where sin increased and abounded, grace (God’s unmerited favor) has surpassed it and increased the more and superabounded,

Romans 3:5 (Amplified Bible)

But if our unrighteousness thus establishes and exhibits the righteousness of God, what shall we say? That God is unjust and wrong to inflict His wrath upon us [Jews]? I speak in a [purely] human way.

Truly He first loved us, no human being can actually say that He loved GOD first, GOD already said it in His WORDS. We cannot out love GOD, we cannot out give GOD.

1 John 4:19 (Amplified Bible)

We love Him, because He first loved us.

B. CHRIST died for us

"Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us"

Isaiah 53:6 (Amplified Bible)

All we like sheep have gone astray, we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord has made to light upon Him the guilt and iniquity of us all.

1 Peter 3:18 (Amplified Bible)

For Christ [the Messiah Himself] died for sins once for all, the Righteous for the unrighteous (the Just for the unjust, the Innocent for the guilty), that He might bring us to God. In His human body He was put to death, but He was made alive in the spirit,

1 John 3:16 (Amplified Bible)

By this we come to know (progressively to recognize, to perceive, to understand) the [essential] love: that He laid down His [own] life for us; and we ought to lay [our] lives down for [those who are our] brothers [in Him].

1 John 4:9-10 (Amplified Bible)

In this the love of God was made manifest (displayed) where we are concerned: in that God sent His Son, the only begotten or unique [Son], into the world so that we might live through Him.

In this is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins.

His Love for us is AGAPE Love not just feelings, not just emotions, but GOD showed it through His actions by dying on the cross for us.

IX. CONCLUSION:

Praise, worship, glorify, adore, bless, honor, acknowledge and thank You very much LORD JESUS for You showed to me how much You loved me by dying on the cross for me even while I'm still a sinner.
