Why Do Some Reject God?

God did HIS part; He gave His only begotten Son. John 3:16

Jesus did His part; He died on Calvary’s cross. John 19:30 Jesus said, It is finished: and he died.

With a gift of this magnitude and a sacrifice this supreme, how or why could someone reject God?

They reject God to hold on to the past. Mark 7:9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may keep your own tradition. (My parents were ???, so I am too.)

Some have simply closed their Minds. Matt 13:15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Some are having Pleasure in sin. 2 Thes 2:11-12 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:(12) That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Romans 1:29-32 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Some people enjoy sin.

Moses ascended Mt Sinai to receive God’s law. Exodus 32:1-29

Moses didn’t return as quickly as the people desired. Vs-1

Vs-1 And when the people saw that Moses delayed to come down out of the mount, the people gathered themselves together unto Aaron, and said unto him, Up, make us gods, which shall go before us; for as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we know not what is become of him.

Rebellion and sin entered the Children of God Vs-7

Vs-7 And the LORD said unto Moses, Go, get thee down; for thy people, which thou broughtest out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves:

A molten calf was created made of gold Ex 32:4 And he received them at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, after he had made it a molten calf: and they said, “These be thy gods, O Israel, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt.”

Many Died because of rebellion to God

As for Spiritually, Vs-33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

Do You Think God Has Changed His Mind about SIN in the mean time?

What is the recompence of reward?

Ro 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

The recompence of reward for sin is the wrath of God.

Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

The soul that sins shall die.

There is the Atoning Blood of Christ! John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

“...Might be saved” How wonderful! Will you continue to reject God? MANY HAVE, MANY WILL AND MANY WILL BE LOST.

To become a Child of God,

You need to hear the word of God. (Rom 10:17). So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

You need to Believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. (Heb 11:6). But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Repent of your sins and wrong doings. (Luke 13:3) I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Confess the name of Jesus. (Acts 8:37) And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.
