Why Go To Heaven

Summary: This message answers the question, Why should I make Heaven my goal for eternity?
St. John 14:1-7 Text
When we are gathered at a funeral or thoughts of the afterlife come to mind, we immediately declare, “I want to go to Heaven, when I die.” Why do we want to go to Heaven? The Bible gives us some concise and clear reasons why Heaven must be our goal!
1) Heaven is the home of our Heavenly Father
Vs. 2; Revelation 21:4
2) Heaven allows us to live for eternity with loved ones who lived for Christ on this earth.
Vs. 1
For the child of God, death is only a transition!
Philippians 1; 21-23
3) Jesus has prepared the place for YOU!
Vs. 2b-3
Prepared by His divine love and grace.
St. John 3:16
Verse 6 of text Jesus has prepared the way for those that choose to make Heaven!
Why go to Heaven? The Bible gives us these reasons. I am sure there are many other reasons, but time does not allow us to enter into those. However, may I suggest one more? It is certainly better than the alternative. (St. Luke 16:23)
