Why The G12? Series

Matthew 28:19-20 NLT

19Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. 20Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."

Vision:

There is only one vision for the Harvest: the Father’s vision. The book of Revelation consistently reveals Father God’s desire for multitudes of redeemed souls joyfully singing, shouting, & worshipping Him forever. God’s Word declares that the number of souls in eternity is astronomical & uncountable!

What a blessed hope that gives! I believe that this unnumbered multitude of redeemed souls worshipping God in heaven is indeed the vision of the Heavenly Father. The bible goes into great detail confirming it.

During Jesus time on the earth He initiated a strategy whereby the Father’s vision would be accomplished: the Local Church.

The Son of God set in motion the process of multiplication by calling & anointing with the Holy Spirit 12 disciples.

These (& every local church) He commanded to gather the harvest obviously by using His strategy. (See Text)

As Jesus demonstrated, this harvest of souls can best be accomplished within a local church by what is commonly called the principle of Twelve.

The Pastor seeks out & disciples 12 men, each of whom will win to the Lord & disciple----following the teaching & practice of their Pastor-----12 men (144).

These 144 men each repeat the process of winning & discipling 12 men, with the total now being 1,728. The 1728 men will each, in turn, win & disciple 12 men, with total now being 20,736 men.

While the men are multiplying in number, the women, youth, & children are simultaneously practicing the same process of multiplication.

With simultaneous multiplication occurring among men, women, children, & youth we reach a total of 82,944 souls within these four generations!

Now we can see & appreciate the genius of Jesus’ plan to fulfill the Father’s vision of multitudes being saved while loving & worshipping God.

That is a nutshell view. Let’s look at three practical reasons why the G12 for our vehicle to carry out God’s plan.

1. It is working everywhere! Acts 17:6b NLT "Paul and Silas have turned the rest of the world upside down, and now they are here disturbing our city," they shouted.

Most of us are familiar with the name Bethany World Prayer Center. It happens to be the church God is using to cover the G12 vision in North America.

Having officially started running full speed in the vision in 2002 they have seen God do great things!

They have Cells, Encounters, Net Meetings & School of Leaders for adults, youth & children.

In 2002 Bethany sent 750 men, 1000 women, 436 youth & 229 children; for a total of 2400 (first time) that participated in an Encounter Weekened.

They closed out that year with almost 1100 cells having begun with that year with 680 cells.

Northwood Christian Center – Since knowing Pastor Van & Sis. Jan over the last couple of years we have watched them grow from 50 cells to around 80 cells.

In the first quarter of this year they seen over 50 people saved & are being connected to the body of Christ effectively.

Bethel Worship Center in Russellville, Ar. – Listen to this Pastor; “As we stepped up to the challenge of Consolidation, making the phone visits & visiting people in their homes, we began to see God do amazing things! People began coming to our church & receiving the Lord. Knowing the value of each soul, we accepted the responsibility & cost of caring for these new converts. As we cared for them, we simply shared with them what God had given to us. Implementing consolidation has resulted in the growth of our church from 85-90 to over 150 people in only months.

To a small church, these are awesome results! Each week in our Sunday Celebration services, we are seeing souls coming to know Jesus Christ. Because of the Principle of 12 we are now able to plug them into a great plan of discipleship designed by God & exampled through Jesus!”

2. It Represents the Heart of the Destiny Vision:

Habakkuk 2:2-3 NLT 2Then the LORD said to me, "Write my answer in large, clear letters on a tablet, so that a runner can read it and tell everyone else. 3But these things I plan won’t happen right away. Slowly, steadily, surely, the time approaches when the vision will be fulfilled. If it seems slow, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.
