Summary: 1 Corinthians 3:18-20 (NIV)

I. Are you wise?

a. For many people they would say of course I am wise I have been on this earth for a very long time.

b. Some people may say I am wise because I have a college degree hanging on my wall, so that must mean that I am wise.

c. A very few amount of people may say I have (DR) in front of my name so that automatically makes me wise.

II. Becoming wise

a. Becoming wise does not just happen over night, it actually takes some time, and even some years at time.

b. You have to go through something in life to become wise, so that you can share some of your wisdom.

c. Becoming wise does not mean you are better than anybody, that just means you have been here longer than some people.

III. How wise are you?

a. The world measures how wise you are by the education that you have, or the title that you have recieved.

b. God has given all of us the chance to become wise, no matter who you are, or where you come from.

c. Reading the word of God will cause you and make you become wise.

IV. Wisdom from God' word

a. We become wise by reading the bible because we are learning about the past.

b. We become wise by reading the bible because we are learning how to make it through the present.

c. We beome wise by reading the bible because we are learning about the future.

V. Close

a. God wants us to have wisdom to help the people around us.

b. The world grants us wisdom that does not matter.

c. God' wisdom will help us get into heaven, the world' wisdom will get us to hell.

VI. Closing remark

a. The choice is yours this day, do you want God' wisdom or the World's wisdom?
