You're Coming Out of Captivity

Exodus 6:2-8

“And God spoke to Moses and said to him:

“I am I appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as God Almighty, but by My name LORD I was not known to them.

I have also established My covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, the land of their pilgrimage, in which they were strangers.

And I have also heard the groaning of the children of Israel whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.

Therefore say to the children of Israel:

‘I am the LORD; I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, I will rescue you from their bondage, and I will redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.

I will take you as My people, and I will be your God.

Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

And I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you as a heritage: I am the LORD.’ ””

Pray

Because the king of Egypt was afraid of the children of Israel he brought them into bondage.

A people who have enjoyed abundance, freedom, joy, peace, Liberty,

They Are now slaves.

Not only were they made slaves.

But the king set taskmasters over them to oppress them.

To push them, to beat them down,

To demoralize them, to make their lives miserable.

Whatever area they were working in,

The taskmasters drove them with whips and hard punishments.

The children of Israel cried unto the Lord because of the bondage, and their cry came up to God.

And God sent a deliverer named Moses, to set them free.

And the Lord said to Moses I have seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt.

And have heard their cry because of the taskmasters for I know their sorrows.

And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians

And to bring them up out of that land into a Good land.

A large land that flows with milk and honey.

It’s a story we all have heard since we were kids

How God by the hand of Moses brought plague after plague upon Egypt until finally

Pharaoh actually thrust them out.

He Pushed them out.

He Threw them out.

How many in here know that when God speaks His word

People get set free

I am here to tell you this morning

I know

Some of you have been in bondage

Some of you have been in captivity

In slavery,

In oppression of the enemy,

But I am telling you today you're coming out of captivity.

You are about to walk in the freedom that the Lord has for you

You are about to break the chains that have had you bound for too long.

You are no longer going to be a slave to Sin

You are no longer going to be a slave to sickness

No longer are you going to be a salve to depression

A slave to fear

A slave to insecurity

You are no longer going to be a slave to addiction

You are coming out of your bondage..

Galatians 4:7 says

7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son,

and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

I am here to tell you that your days , of oppression, are coming to an end,

You're coming out.

________________________________

Some of you are in here are in bondage and in captivity and you don’t even know it.

Sickness and disease is a captivity,

Poverty and lack are bondages,

Depression, fear, anxiety, stress, are a bondage

Even grief can become a bondage and a captivity.

If you let it

It’s perfectly normal to grieve when you lose someone, or something that is precious to you

But if you don't let it go and let God heal it,

It will become a weight to you and will bring you into captivity.

Some of you need to quit blaming yourself about a death you could not control.

And turn it over to God and start living your lives again

Even Religion and traditions can be a bondage to you.

Then there are many of Gods people who are being held in captivity by guilt and shame and regret.

It doesn't matter who you are where you've been or what you have done,

Or whats has been done to you

God doesn't hold it against you

You are a new creature in Him.

You are free), free from the past, free from the pain,

Free from the guilt and shame.
