You Can Choose How To End

Judges 16:28 -30

Then Samson prayed, "Sovereign LORD, please remember me; please, God, give me my strength just this one time more, so that with this one blow I can get even with the Philistines for putting out my two eyes."

So Samson took hold of the two middle columns holding up the building. Putting one hand on each column, he pushed against them and shouted, "Let me die with the Philistines!" He pushed with all his might, and the building fell down on the five kings and everyone else.

Samson killed more people at his death than he had killed during his life.

Samson knows that there many things he can’t change

He know that for a fact his eyes has been removed and he can’t put them back.

Samson can’t deny sleeping with the prostitutes and he now understand better that you can’t carry fire against your chest without burning your clothes? Pro 6:27

Because not only as it burn his cloth but also burn his chest.

Samson knows that he has failed God

The wine God asked his mother not to drink because she is pregnant to a Nazirite, mighty boy, a great child, this was the same wine that becomes Samson favorite drink.

Judges 13:3-5 (The LORD's angel appeared to her and said, "You have never been able to have children, but you will soon be pregnant and have a son.

Be sure not to drink any wine or beer, or eat any forbidden food; and after your son is born, you must never cut his hair, because from the day of his birth he will be dedicated to God as a nazirite. He will begin the work of rescuing Israel from the Philistines.")

What did the lord command your parent not to do because of you? I hope that is not your hobby today?

Samson was warned by his parent to stay away from strange women unfortunately that his were he found his joy which leads to his destruction.

In whose companion do you find your joy?

Samson knows he can re-write the past

He can’t deny the fact that he was supposed to be a nazirite and to be undefiled

Now he understand the call of God upon his life that he was supposed to be a deliverer

He can’t change the truth that he exposed his source of power to a harlot.

Samson lived in his might and walk not in the ways of the Lord forgotten God is the source of His power

There many things Samson can’t change, how he lived his life in the past but he know he can choose how to live it forward

He can choose to rededicate his life to God. He can choose to go to God in prayer because he know He will forgive him and give him a new slate to write his script.

How have you been living your life?

In whose company do you find joy?

You might not be able to change what you have done in the past but you can choose how to continue to live your life after now.

Do you think your know wisdom, knowledge, skills his your ability?

God gave you everything for a purpose and don’t abuse it.

Some of us in GHF has a terrible past but God gave us a new slate to write our story now we can walk head straight high. No guilt- no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus old things have passed away all thing have become new.

Tomorrow might be too late for you, choose today my friend. Don’t allow it burn your chest when you will not be able to make a change anymore and all you will have to do is live with the scar forever.

Confess your sin to Christ Jesus today and ask him to take control of your life.

You can pray this prayer

Lord Jesus forgive me of every of my sin

Come into my life I will make you my Lord and Savior. Amen
