Summary: The devil is afraid of the Holy Ghost. Unfortunately, so is most of the modern day church. There’s no need to be afraid of having the Holy Ghost come upon you because He is already in you.

You’ve Got the Holy Ghost

TEXT – John 14:17

The same spirit that raise Jesus from the dead lives in you. The same spirit that lived in Jesus lives in you. You’ve got the Holy Ghost! 1 Corinthians 6:19 says you are the temple of the Holy Ghost. He walks in you. He talks in you. He abides in you. He dwells in you. He’s working in you. He’s working on you. You’ve got the Holy Ghost! You need to get excited about the fact that you’ve got the Holy Ghost. Jesus Christ was the Son of God before He was placed in Mary’s womb but He did not do a miracle until the Holy Ghost came upon Him. John the Baptist recognized who Jesus Christ was because the Spirit of God descended and remained on Him. The world should recognize the church of the living God because that same Spirit has descended and remains on us. After the Holy Ghost descended on Jesus, He led Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. If you’ve got the Holy Ghost, you’re ready for the wilderness. You’re ready for the fight. You’re ready for the test. You’re ready for the trial. You’re ready for the tribulation. You’re ready for the devil because you’ve got the Holy Ghost. Greater is He that is in you than He that is in the world. Who do you have in you? You’ve got the Holy Ghost! You’ve got more power than the devil. You’ve got the Holy Ghost! The devil is afraid of the Holy Ghost. He trembles at the mere mention of the name of Jesus and he’ll flee from you if you’ll walk in the Spirit that lives in you. The devil is afraid of the Holy Ghost. Unfortunately, most of the church is also afraid of the Holy Ghost. He’s not here to hurt you. He’s here to help. Romans 8:26 says that the Spirit helps our infirmities. Our infirmities are our inabilities, our frailties, our inadequacies, and our weakness. Don’t be afraid of the One that was sent to help you. Don’t be afraid of the Spirit that is already in you. I’m not afraid of the Holy Ghost! And because I’ve got the Holy Ghost, I’m not afraid of any devil, demon, or darkness. I’m not afraid of any power, principality, or prince of the powers of the air. I’m not afraid of any ruler of the darkness of this world or spiritual wickedness in high places. I’m not afraid of any deaf spirit, dumb spirit, foul spirit, unclean spirit, or evil spirit. I ain’t afraid of no ghost because I’ve got the Holy Ghost! You’ve got the Holy Ghost! The bible calls Him the Spirit of God, and the Spirit of glory. The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of truth, the Spirit of holiness, the Spirit of Christ, and the Spirit of the living God. He’s called the Spirit of adoption, the Spirit of wisdom, the Spirit of revelation, the eternal Spirit, and the Spirit of grace. He’s all that and then some and He’s in you. He walks in you and talks in you. He lives in you, dwells in you and abides in you. He’s working you and working on you. You’ve got the Holy Ghost! You need to receive Him, embrace Him, obey Him, trust Him, and depend on Him. You need to let Him lead you, and guide you, comfort you and console you, enlighten you, inspire you, empower you and strengthen you. Let the Holy Ghost teach you and train you, search you and sanctify you. Let Him justify you. Let Him liberate you. Let Him help you. The Holy Ghost is here to help you! There is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. There is hope in the Holy Ghost. There is love in the Holy Ghost. There is power in the Holy Ghost. There is assurance in the Holy Ghost. There is supply in the Holy Ghost. There is fellowship in the Holy Ghost. He’s here to help so don’t quench Him. Don’t resist Him. Don’t blaspheme Him. Don’t lie to Him. Let the Holy Ghost help you. You don’t have to live this life by your might, nor by your power but by the Spirit of the living God. You’ve got the Holy Ghost!
