About Chip Kelly

Education: Highly in favor of it

Comment to those looking at my sermons: I’m a nice guy. I may not be the greatest preacher but I have great friends and a great family.

Sermon or series that made a difference: too many to list

One of my favorite illustrations: life is an ongoing illustration! I find new ways to embarrass myself so I never run short.

Family: Fabulous Superwoman wife Bonnie and fantastic son Dane

What my parents think of my sermons: They attend my church, so I really hope they’re not humoring me and listening to Max Lucado tapes on the way home.

What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She thinks I’m far better than I really am. It’s either the cologne or the Holy Spirit. I’m hoping it’s the latter.

Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach the Word, son

Books that have had an impact: Too Busy Not To Pray Purpose Driven Church

Hobbies: golf, snowskiing, surfing, golden retrievers

If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: God loves you. He’s not mad at you. He longs to take you into his arms as his son/daughter, and has bankrupted heaven to do so.

Something funny that happened while preaching: accidently saying, "Let everything that has breasts, praise the Lord!"

What I want on my tombstone: "Heaven or country music. You must choose."
