Family: I am married to Pamela Gaddy and we are the parents of Jennifer a freshman in college and Frederick a freshman in high school.
What my parents think of my sermons: My mother now deceased was my biggest fan who always gave me a standing ovation. My toughest sermon but my best sermon is her eulogy. God is truly a comfort in trying times.
What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: They’re alright
Best advice given to me about preaching: Always be ready to pray or proclaim.
Books that have had an impact: What Makes You So Strong a book of riveting sermons by Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright of Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
The Burdensome Joy of Preaching by James Massey. This is my story this is my song. I love preaching and as a senior in seminary preaching and seminary studies are often burdensome but God is always good.
If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: I really love the Lord.
What I want on my tombstone: He tried to preach to please God
