Comment to those looking at my sermons: Although I create sermons on many topics, I often weave in one of two themes. First, when appropriate, I like to bring us into the current season. Because so many of us live in a city, we get out of touch with our natural surroundings. I believe that we benefit spiritually when reminded that we are a part of the cycles of God’s creation. Second, I like to remind people about the ongoing process of transformation and how we can/must particpate in our own santification.
Family: I have been a single parent of one son for many years. My son just turned 18, so I am looking forward to a new chapter in my life, where I can devote more and more time to becoming a minister.
I live in Colorado Springs, a beautiful city that is within a days drive of many Rocky Mountain destinations. This past summer I ventured into Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. I am planning several return visits to that area. I also love going to Taos and the rugged San Juan Mountains in southwestern Colorado.
Best advice given to me about preaching: Practice, practice, practice
