Sermon or series that made a difference: Gospel of Luke series really helped me to see Christ more clearly.
Family: I am married to the former Juliane E. Kirk of Dothan, Alabama. We have been married for 11 1/2 years. We have two children: Kirk is 4 1/2 and Wilson is almost 2.
I am originally from Moulton, Alabama.
What my parents think of my sermons: They love it - of course!
What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: It is hard to say. She always says she likes them, but I never can get her to give me any criticism.
Best advice given to me about preaching: Preach expositorily - and - don’t do the church’s work for them. Be a preacher and teacher of God’s word - not a pastor - let the elders do the pastoring - that is their task.
