Comment to those looking at my sermons: You are really going to need the Lord to help you get something out of it. I know I do.
Sermon or series that made a difference: The series on the last days.
Family: Wife Lisa R.
Two sons, Timothy Paul, age 15 who announced his call to preach last year. Caleb Hayes, age 11, and one daughter, Hannah Marie Shirley. She is 7 years old.
What my parents think of my sermons: I guess that depends on which sermon. But all in all my parents are supportive. And this is good since both of them go to Friendship.
What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: When I ask her, and I always ask her, she always say’s it was good. So this makes me beleive she is just being nice.
Best advice given to me about preaching: Just preach the word and love the people in the church. I was given this info by Bro. Gerald England. A great man of God and one of my Dearest Friends.
Books that have had an impact: Dispensational truths by Clarence Larkin. I also have recieved help from M.R. Dehaan, Oliver Green, Dr. Harold Sightler, and Author Pink. His gleanings books are very informative.
Hobbies: I don’t really have any hobbies. I am a sheep farmer. I have around 40 head of suffolk sheep. Other than working on the farm I am busy with the church and helping the different workers of our church in their field. Such as the Jail ministry, and our youth functions.
If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Lift up your heads, for your redemption draweth nigh.
What I want on my tombstone: Finally!!!!!
