Summary: This sermon speaks to a few of the "Invitations" that God has given both Believers and Non-Believers

Message Today:

“COME" Invitations from the Master

Come is the “invitation” . It may be issued to one, few or many, or to ALL.

Free-will places the “reception of the invitation” square in the hands of the one invited.

I CHOOSE to accept or decline the Invitation...

I CHOOSE to determine whether the Invitation is worth my “time and effort” to accept.

“Come” is really asking us, “Will you choose to accept my invitation?”

And when we choose to accept the invitation we then hear Him say, “WELCOME”

I. Come and Drink of the Well of Salvation

“Here we receive the Master’s invitation to join Him in Spirit”

Joh 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

Joh 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Isa 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.

Joh 4:23 But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

Joh 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

1 Jn5:6 shares that “the Spirit Is Truth” while

Jn 16:13 tells us that God’s Spirit will “lead us into ALL truth”

And of course this Truth which is found in God’s Spirit leads us to GOD HIMSELF MANIFEST IN THE FLESH and REVEALED IN HIS SON who says in Jn14:6

“I AM the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE!!”

II. Come Unto Me All Ye Who Are Weary And Learn Of Me (invitation to rest)

“Here we receive the Master’s invitation to join Him in our soul”

Mt 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

2Th 2:13 ¶ But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

BELIEVING THE TRUTH is God’s invitation to our SOUL... our hearts, our minds, our SOULS

“God’s Spirit sanctifies our spirit but God’s WORD sanctifies our SOUL!” REF

Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Joh 17:17 ¶ Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

III. Come And Let The River Flow

“Here we receive the Master’s invitation to join Him in His work"

Joh 7:37 ¶ In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

Isa 44:3 For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

Joh 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

“We are spirit and the only place our soul can truly FLOW is with the spirit.”

“The spirit is the COMFORT ZONE for our soul”

We are “dead men” made alive in Christ...

Dead to our will

Dead to our power

Dead to our resume

But ALIVE unto CHRIST!

Ga 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

(KJV)

Col 3:3 For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

4 When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
