Focus Passage: Ephesians 3:14-19

Introduction:

I. Love In the last days

a. People’s love will grow cold: Matt. 24:12

b. People will be lovers of self: II Tim 3:2

c. People will be lovers of money and pleasure: II Tim 3:4

II. Love God

a. Mat 22:37 And He said to him, " 'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.

i. There are a lot of people who say they love God, but don’t act like it.

b. John 14:15 "If you love Me, you will keep My commandments

i. Love your neighbor as yourself.

III. Love the Saints

a. John 13:35 “By this shall all men will know that you are my disciples if you have love for one another.”

b. Hebrews 13:1 says “Let brotherly love continue.”

c. 1 John 4:21 And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also

IV. Love the Sinners

a. Mat 5:46 "For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have?

b. Mat 5:47 "If you greet only your brothers, what more are you doing than others? Do not even the Gentiles do the same?
