Titus 3:10 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
11 Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.
A heretic after the first or second admonition you reject or have nothing to do with, not keep supporting their ministries. You approach him/her with the error and if they will not conform to the truth than you reject or shun them. You do not keep buying their books or sending money to their ministries. That is not being a Legalist or a "heretic hunter" that is biblical and it is necessary for a pastor to reprove and rebuke as well as exhort.
2 Tim 2:17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;
18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.
1 Tim 1:20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
2 Tim 4:14 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works:
Some have a problem with naming names. Paul did not have that complex. Note, he delivered two unto the devil. Also, note that Hymenaeus and Alexander were in double trouble.

16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
There are many winds of doctrine out there that are toxic to the soul and are deceiving many. Pastors need to start speaking to these dangerous teachings and calling names to protect the flock of God from wolves in sheep's clothing. Truth is essential in every age, but in this age of demonic deception it is vital for survival. Maranatha!
