Don't neglect the power of the scepter.

Psalms 45:6 (New Living Translation, Second Edition)

Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever. You rule with a scepter of justice.

V. THESIS:

The coming KING, which is the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS is the SCEPTER of Righteousness which is to come

VI. TITLE:

Scepter Of Righteousness

VII. EXPLICATION:

Scepter came from Hebrew word "shebet" (shay-bet) meaning "to branch off", a stick used for punishing, writing, fighting, ruling, walking, staff" and Greek word "rhabdos" (hrab-dos) meaning a stick, a wand, a cane, a baton of royalty

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. GOD, the Father endures forever and ever and so His Throne (Psalms 45:6, Genesis 49:10)

1. Jacob symbolizing voice of GOD, the Father have prophesied that the LORD JESUS CHRIST (scepter of Judah) will not leave or depart Judah.

The scepter will not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from his descendants, until the coming of the one to whom it belongs, the one whom all nations will honor.

a. It was fulfilled because the LORD JESUS CHRIST is also called Son of David (from Judah) (Matthew 21:9, Matthew 20:30)

Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting, “Praise God for the Son of David! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord! Praise God in highest heaven!”

b. The LORD JESUS CHRIST was prophesied by prophet Balaam, to arise from Judah and will destroy the heads of Moab (sin) (Numbers 24:17)

I see him, but not here and now. I perceive him, but far in the distant future. A star will rise from Jacob; a scepter will emerge from Israel. It will crush the foreheads of Moab’s people, cracking the skulls of the people of Sheth.

B. GOD, the Father rules with a scepter (LORD JESUS CHRIST) (Psalms 45:6, Psalms 2:9, Revelation 2:27)

1. GOD, the Father is in the throne while GOD, the Son is on the earth and the Father rules the earth thru the Son, the iron rod is the scepter which is the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

A. her child symbolizes the church which was raptured later on.

Queen Esther was able to do anything as long as the scepter is held out towards her by the king. (Esther 4:11, Esther 5:2, Esther 8:4)

“All the king’s officials and even the people in the provinces know that anyone who appears before the king in his inner court without being invited is doomed to die unless the king holds out his gold scepter. And the king has not called for me to come to him for thirty days.”

When he saw Queen Esther standing there in the inner court, he welcomed her and held out the gold scepter to her. So Esther approached and touched the end of the scepter.

IX. CONCLUSION:

The coming KING, which is the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS is the SCEPTER of Righteousness which is to come (Revelation 19:15)
