Summary: There are many options in life, but only two outcomes. There are many roads, routes and paths but only two eternal destinations. Where is the road you have taken leading you to?

TEXT: 2 Timothy 4:10

For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

YOU HAVE A CHOICE

God gave man the unique privilege of choice and our first parents used it to their hurt and man it still suffering from the consequences of that decision today.

In out text, Demas, a co - labourer of Paul in the vineyard of God forsook him and the work of God because of the pleasures of the present world. Judas Iscariot was a pioneer co - labourer with Jesus, but he left his office and betrayed his master for 30 shekels of silver. While we don't know the end of Demas, the outcome for Judas was regret and suicide. What of Ananias and his wife, they were among the workforce but were not part of the workforce. They were hypocrites, pretenders whose true colour was revealed by the Holy Spirit and died before they could repent.

YOU HAVE ONLY TWO ETERNAL DESTINATIONS

There are many options but only two outcomes; many choices and paths but two destinations. The path not taken may be tough, rough and full of thorns and thistles, but the end is eternal life. The path many are taking today may be well trodden, golden and littered with pleasures and treasures but the end is eternal damnation. The prodigal son was on the expressway of pleasure but turned back. Paul was on that same route but was arrested by God's mercy. Are you on that notorious expressway?

Listen to what the owner of life says in Matthew 7:13-14.

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

Don't follow the path of Demas or Judas or Ananias and his wife; you still have the chance to make the right choice, the devil cannot take that away from you. Turn from the path of damnation and the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit will receive you back with joy.

MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE

Repent today and return to the path that leads to eternal life. You don't need to ponder or wonder how it would end. The end is eternal life with the creator of heaven and the earth.

PRAYER:

Father, please have mercy upon me. Forgive me and restore the joy of my salvation. Take not your Holy Spirit away from me. I surrender to you in Jesus name.

DECREE:

The grace of God keeps me, the mercy of God sustains me on the path of righteousness.

God bless your day. Shalom.
