John 4 - KJV
Beloved, Jer. 29:8;Mat. 24:4believe not every spirit, but 1 Cor. 14:29;1 Thes. 5:21;Rev. 2:2try the spirits whether they are of God: because Mat. 24:5;Acts 20:30;1 Tim. 4:1;2 Pet. 2:1many false prophets are gone out into the world.
Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: 1 Cor. 12:3Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
And 2 John 7every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof you have heard that it should come; and 2 Thes. 2:7even now already is it in the world.
ch. 5:4Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than John 12:31;Eph. 2:2he that is in the world.
John 3:31They are of the world, therefore speak they of the world, and John 15:19the world heareth them.
We are of God: John 8:47he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we Is. 8:20the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.
-6 The source of love
ch. 3:10,11Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
He that loveth not, ch. 2:4knoweth not God; for ver. 16God is love.
John 3:16In this was manifested the love of God towards us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, ch. 5:11that we might live through him.
Herein is love, John 15:16;Rom. 5:8;Tit. 3:4not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son ch. 2:2to be the propitiation for our sins.
Beloved, Mat. 18:33;ch. 3:16if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.
John 1:18;1 Tim. 6:16No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and ch. 2:5his love is perfected in us.
John 14:20Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
And John 1:14we have seen and do testify that John 3:17the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
Rom. 10:9Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. ver. 8God is love; and ch. 3:24he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth ver. 12is not made perfect in love.
We love him, because he first loved us.
ch. 2:4If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God ver. 12whom he hath not seen?
And Mat. 22:37;John 13:34this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

PROMISE MESSAGE

The word, "nativity" comes from the Latin word meaning, "to be born". But Christmas isn't just about who was born, but also what was born. Last week we looked at how hope and peace were born when Jesus was born. Today we'll look at love and joy.
