Galatians 1 - KJV
No other gospel
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but Acts 9:6;Tit. 1:3by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, Acts 2:24who raised him from the dead;)
And all the brethren Phil. 2:22which are with me, 1 Cor. 16:1unto the churches of Galatia:
1 Thes. 1:1Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,
Mat. 20:28;Rom. 4:25;Tit. 2:14Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us Heb. 2:5;1 John 5:19from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I marvel that you are so soon removed ch. 5:8from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
2 Cor. 11:4Which is not another; but there be some Acts 15:1;2 Cor. 2:17that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though 1 Cor. 16:22we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you Deut. 4:2;Prov. 30:6;Rev. 22:18than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
For 1 Thes. 2:4do I now 1 Sam. 24:7;Mat. 28:14persuade men, or God? or 1 Thes. 2:4;Jas. 4:4do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.
Paul's authority of divine origin
1 Cor. 15:1But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
For 1 Cor. 15:1I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but Eph. 3:3by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that Acts 9:1;1 Tim. 1:13beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and Acts 8:3wasted it:
But when it pleased God, Is. 49:1,5who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace,
2 Cor. 4:6To reveal his Son in me, that Acts 9:15;Eph. 3:8I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with Mat. 16:17;Eph. 6:12flesh and blood:
Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me: but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.
But 1 Cor. 9:5other of the apostles saw I none, save Mat. 13:55James the Lord's brother.
Now the things which I write unto you, Rom. 9:1behold, before God, I lie not.
Acts 9:30Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
And was unknown by face 1 Thes. 2:14unto the churches of Judea which Rom. 16:7were in Christ:
But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.
And they glorified God in me.

This part is a continuation of the Holy Spirit's role in the functioning of the New Testament church which began in Part 4 of this series. In this part we examine the greater and lesser gifts and functions of apostles and prophets in the early church.

To establish that Paul was not the servant of men or of traditions; but the servant of Christ. This lesson deals with the pleasers of men who claim to be the servants of Christ. We will expose some traditions of the fathers in this lesson.
