Isaiah 43 - KJV
God will redeem his people
1 But now thus saith the Lord ver. 7that created thee, O Jacob, ver. 21;ch. 44:2,21And he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: ch. 44:6for I have redeemed thee, ch. 42:6;& 45:4I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine.
2 Ps. 66:12;& 91:3When thou passest through the waters, Deut. 31:6I will be with thee; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: When thou Dan. 3:25walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burnt; Neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
3 For I am the Lord thy God, The Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: Prov. 11:8;& 21:18I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee.
5 ch. 41:10;& 44:2;Jer. 30:10;& 46:27,28Fear not: for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, And gather thee from the west;
6 I will say to the north, Give up; And to the south, Keep not back: Bring my sons from far, And my daughters from the ends of the earth;
7 Even every one that is ch. 63:19;Jas. 2:7called by my name: For Ps. 100:3;ch. 29:23;John 3:3,5;2 Cor. 5:17;Eph. 2:10I have created him for my glory, ver. 1I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
8 ch. 6:9;& 42:19;Ezek. 12:2Bring forth the blind people that have eyes, And the deaf that have ears.
9 Let all the nations be gathered together, And let the people be assembled: ch. 41:21,22,26Who among them can declare this, And shew us former things? Let them bring forth their witnesses, that they may be justified: Or let them hear, and say, It is truth.
10 ch. 44:8Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, ch. 55:4And my servant whom I have chosen: That ye may know and believe me, And understand that I am he: ch. 44:6Before me there was [b]no God formed, Neither shall there be after me.
11 I, even I, ch. 45:21;Hos. 13:4am the Lord; And beside me there is no saviour.
12 I have declared, and have saved, and I have shewed, When there was no Deut. 32:16;Ps. 81:9strange god among you: ch. 44:8Therefore ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, that I am God.
15 I am the Lord, your Holy One, The creator of Israel, your King.
16 Thus saith the Lord, which Ex. 14:16;Ps. 77:19;ch. 51:10maketh a way in the sea, And a Josh. 3:13path in the mighty waters;
17 Which Ex. 14:4-9,25bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; They shall lie down together, they shall not rise: They are extinct, they are quenched as tow.
18 Jer. 16:14Remember ye not the former things, Neither consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I will do a 2 Cor. 5:17;Rev. 21:5new thing; Now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? Ex. 17:6;Num. 20:11;Deut. 8:15;Ps. 78:16I will even make a way in the wilderness, And rivers in the desert.
21 Ps. 102:18;Eph. 1:5,6This people have I formed for myself; They shall shew forth my praise.
Israel's sin of ingratitude
22 But thou hast not called upon me, O Jacob; But thou Mal. 1:13hast been weary of me, O Israel.
23 Amos 5:25Thou hast not brought me the [g]small cattle of thy burnt offerings; Neither hast thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, Nor wearied thee with incense.
24 Thou hast bought me no sweet cane with money, Neither hast thou [h]filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: But thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, Thou hast ch. 1:14;Mal. 2:17wearied me with thine iniquities.
25 I, even I, am he that ch. 44:22;Jer. 50:20;Acts 3:19blotteth out thy transgressions Ezek. 36:22for mine own sake, ch. 1:18;Jer. 31:34And will not remember thy sins.
26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: Declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

This promise was made to the Jewish nation when they were reeling from judgment and the consequences of their own actions. Have you ever had to face the consequences of your own actions? Wouldn't it be nice if, at that time, you got handed a mulligan?
