John’s message to the churches of his day (and to us) is that all that is seen is not all that exists. Indeed, the reality is much greater than what is seen on earth.

What on earth would astound angels? These are the creatures who stand before the glory of the Three-Person God in his throne room. What on earth would they find mysterious? Their “song of peace” clue us in.
