About Dennis
  • Education: Graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Bachelors in Business Administration. Graduated with a Masters of Arts in Theology from Talbot School of Theology Received a Masters of Divinity equivalency degree from Fuller Theological Seminary
  • Experience: After graduation from Talbot in 1995 Dennis took over as senior pastor of Hallelujah Christian Fellowship, a non-denominational church in Las Vegas, Nevada. After 10 years he moved to Mesquite, Nevada, where he is presently the senior pastor of Living Waters Fellowship, a Foursquare church. Dennis is a prolific writer, writing articles for both local newspapers. He has also finished his first book, "From Here to There: A Journey to Spiritual Transformation," and has two more being worked on.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: My sermons are written out in manuscript form It's from my sermons that chapters of my books form and develop. Everyone is welcome to use everything without needing to give credit. Freely I have received, therefore freely I give. It's a blessing to help others the way I have been helped.
  • One of my favorite illustrations: Heaven is the place where a believer's heart longs to be. Our healing will never come at the expense of someone else's pain.
  • Family: Married to Michaela Lee, ordained pastor with Foursquare. We have four children and six grandchildren.
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: Spirit driven and feeds the spirit well. But she walked away while saying it, so at this point not entirely sure.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Be biblical, preach from God's word, and be yourself, not somebody else.
  • Books that have had an impact: Authors: Alan Redpath, Henry Blackaby, John Piper, Jack Hayford, John Stott, Jim Cymbal, plus many more.
  • Hobbies: Loves to snow ski and read.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: I always want the people to know that God loves them just the way they are, but at the same He doesn't want them to remain in their compromises and sin. That church isn't about being in a religion; rather it's about having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: To many mistakes to name, from wrong words to having my zipper open, and being told by a very caring parishioner, who would willing and loving me let me know either or both.
  • What I want on my tombstone: After he served this generation for the Lord, he fell asleep.

This sermon is part of the "Living As A Christian" series and looks at how we as believers in Jesus Christ are to live our lives biblically. Living biblically is a sacrificial life, a holy life, and an integrious life.

Living Biblically Since January I’ve kind of been on a series that I ended up calling, “Living As A Christian.” Over the past several weeks, however, we’ve looked at how a lot of believers and churches have left the foundational roots of the faith, and have been living their lives and conducting ...read more

Living Miraculously Let me just begin by saying that we all need a miracle. And that’s because we all have problems, and every miracle starts with a problem. All of us, young and old, sick and not so sick, healthy or not healthy, employed or not employed, persecuted or well liked, we all need a ...read more

Today's sermon looks at how we are to live victoriously for the Lord from Revelation 12:11, which is through the blood of Christ, the words of our testimony, and our total commitment to Christ.

Living Victoriously While I only watched a little bit of the Super Bowl last Sunday, by all accounts it was more of a defensive game than an offensive one. Now, in the sports world, there is a saying that a good offense begins with a good defense, and it’s defense that wins the game. And while ...read more

This sermon is about our need to live our lives in the in-between. It looks at what we need to be careful of, what living in the in-between does, and what we need to do.

Living in the In-Between Living our lives as a Christian goes something like this. God gives us a vision, plan, purpose and calling for our lives, but He doesn’t give us all the details at the same time. These we receive along the way as we look to Him. And I think God planned it this way ...read more

This sermon looks at seven promises, resolutions of God that God's people can take hold of as their own with full assurance that God will keep every one of them.

God’s Resolutions Before we look at the resolutions that God has made concerning all of us, I began by thinking about our New Year’s resolutions, and then I thought about what it meant and where it all came from. It seems that the word, “resolution” had its origin back in the late 14th century. ...read more
