About Ed
  • Education: Master of Divinity from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary Master of Arts in Apologetics from Liberty University Bachelor of Arts in Religion - Youth Ministry - Liberty University
  • Experience: 18 years of Student Ministry 11 years as a Senior Pastor
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: I am a teaching pastor who wants to make the learning interesting. I use relevant illustrations to connect the verses we are studying to application. I found growing up that I remember stories/ illustrations that go with scripture because of the sermons I heard and the stories the pastor's told.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Extreme Makeover from Ephesians 4
  • One of my favorite illustrations: The slave master who purchased his slave at a very expensive price and set him free. A picture of what Christ did for us on the cross when He said "It is finished"
  • Family: 3 Grown Children
  • What my parents think of my sermons: They enjoy them
  • What my spouse (really) thinks of my sermons: She encourages me and loves that I try to preach the whole counsel of God
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Keep it simple and to the point. Make sure you do a good job of application and not just give out knowledge
  • Books that have had an impact: Knowing God by J.I. Packer; Visoneering by Andy Stanley, Plan B by Pete Wilson
  • Hobbies: Running, Golf, Reading
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: God is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
  • Something funny that happened while preaching: Once while I was preaching at a nursing home service, a woman in the front row unbuttoned and took off her blouse completely
  • What I want on my tombstone: A faithful servant who served Christ and preached the Gospel.
