About Larry
  • Education: I have a BA from the California Baptist Institute I have a Masters & Doctors Degree in Bible Languages from The Gulf Coast Baptist Institute in Mobile, Al.
  • Experience: I have pastored for over 45 years.
  • Comment to those looking at my sermons: Everything I know has been givine to me by someone else. I do not claim to be original in anything. I try to be the person that God made me to be and share the message of the gosple in a special way that God has gifted me to do but I have been taught by faithful men and women before me. I have used SERMON CENTRAL for some time now. I have used many illustrations and outline from this wonderful source. If I share something that I got from someone else and do not give them the credit - it is only because I don’t remember the source from which I received it. However, it is my prayer that God might be glorified in every word, message and illustration.
  • Sermon or series that made a difference: Dr. J.Vernon McGhee has been a real blessing in my life as well as so many that I could not name them all.
  • Family: I have been married to my wonderful and faithful wife, Jen for 50 years. We have 6 children. They are all grown and live in other states. We have 13 grandchildren.
  • Best advice given to me about preaching: Make it practical to the congregation. If it is not practical to the person in the pew - you don’t have a message.
  • Books that have had an impact: Fourty Days of Purpose
  • Hobbies: I like to play golf and scuba dive.
  • If I could Preach one more time, I would say...: Jesus is worth giving our all to Him.
  • What I want on my tombstone: He was not perfect but faithful.
