In Saint Augustine’s Confessions, he describes looking out his window at his neighbors pears, and even though he has pear trees of his own he desires to have them. So he jumps the fence and steals the pears. Then when he tastes them they are not as good as his own pears, and he ends up feeding them to the hogs.
