When I was young I lived about a half hour from Defiance, Ohio. General Anthony Wayne built Fort Defiance in August 1794. He surveyed the land & declared to General Scott, "I defy the English, Indians, & all the devils of hell to take it." I defy anyone and all the devils of hell to take away our thanksgiving. They cannot do it, in defiance may we give a sacrifice of praise.
