    Jesus heals a man with a double curse-deafness and dumbness. Yet, the manner in which the miracle occured is miraculous in itself and it shows the tender side of the Lord of lords.

    Jesus healed the deaf/dumb man and then told the people not to tell anyone what they had had just seen. How different He is from the many self-seekers of today’s religious’ world.

    The opposition then and now wants signs from Christ before they can proclaim Him as their Lord. He refuses to give any more signs of who He is because He has given all the signs that are necesssary for anyone to beleive in Him.

    Jesus speaks some strange words about cutting off a hand, a foot and rmeoving an eye just to follow Him. Did He really maen it or was He telling us about how best to serve Him? The latter is the true answer.

    He came running to Jesus, fell at the Master’s feet, and professed great spiritual hunger. When asked about his lateral dealings with his fellow man, he assured Jesus he was spotless and holy regarding these issues of his life.

    What started out to be a wonderful Vineyard full of good workers who had everything at their command to produce a bountiful harvest of wine for the Master, turned sour. Good people became bad. Workers took over the Vineyard and expelled everyone else.

    Jesus tells His listeners some very important motifs to living a successful life for Him. He tells us to, "watch" and to "pray" and by doing as he says, our life will reflect the proper mannerisms of a dedicated Christian as we go about our daily living.

    There was no one who was more outspoken for his Master than Peter. He was the one whom everyone could count on to stand for Jesus and define his faith in the one from Nazareth. After all, Peter was the "Rock." He was up front, a get in your face type.

    Christ had died-this they knew. However, there were three ladies who had the idea that if they could get to the tomb, early in the morning on the first day of the week, they would give Christ a proper burial, leave and be gone before anyone knew it.
