THE MESSAGE

THE LORD WILL PERFECT THAT WHICH CONCERNS ME

1.RESOLUTION

This New Year will be a year of resolution where unresolved issues and problems will be resolved. The Lord will complete and perfect the matters in our life which have remained incomplete in the past. The Lord will especially solve those issues which have remained unresolved for a long time. The promises of God which have been unfulfilled for a long time will be fulfilled in this year.Prayers which had remained unanswered for many years will be answered in this year. Just as Zechariah and Elisabeth and Abraham who received the blessing they had longed for , the Lord will grant us the blessing that we had been eagerly waiting for a long time. The man at the pool of Bethesda who had suffered for 38 years was healed by the Lord Jesus . In the same way , the Lord will bring our suffering to an end in this year. Therefore we must not give up our hope and expectation and be persistent in our prayers until we receive the answer.

PSALM 138:7-8

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, You will revive me; You will stretch out Your hand Against the wrath of my enemies, And Your right hand will save me.

The LORD will perfect that which concerns me; Your mercy, O LORD, endures forever; Do not forsake the works of Your hands.

PHILIPPIANS 1:6

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

PROVERBS 23:18

There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

JEREMIAH 29:11-13

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

1 PETER 5:6-10

Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time.

Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.

Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

PHILIPPIANS 2:13

for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

LUKE 1:5-14

In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron.

Both of them were upright in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commandments and regulations blamelessly.

But they had no children, because Elizabeth was barren; and they were both well along in years.

Once when Zechariah’s division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God,

he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to go into the temple of the Lord and burn incense.

And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside.

Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense.

When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear.

But the angel said to him: "Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to give him the name John.

He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth,

JOHN 5:1-9

Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews.

Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades.

Here a great number of disabled people used to lie—the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.

From time to time an angel of the Lord would come down and stir up the waters. The first one into the pool after each such disturbance would be cured of whatever disease he had.

One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years.
