We must have a serving attitude and a giving spirit!
Question: Why do we Serve?
Serving imitates Jesus!
Kenneth Leech "Christian spirituality is the spirituality of the Poor Man of Nazareth who took upon himself the form of a servant."
Serving presents Jesus to the world!
Friedrich Nietzsche "Jesus' disciples will need to look more saved if I am to believe in their Savior."
Show me your faith by the way you live and serve in this hurting world!

Question: How do we Serve?
For a need to be met, two things have to be in place:
a real need
a person or resource that can effectively meet that need.
President John F. Kennedy, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."
John Wooden, "You cannot live a perfect day without doing something for someone who will never be able to repay you."
Pastor Bill Hybels, "I would never want to reach out someday with a soft, un-calloused hand--a hand never dirtied by serving--and shakes the nail-pierced hand of Jesus."
