Summary: The preparations we need to make in order to go to Heaven

A NEW HOME IS WAITING

John 14:1-6

When we are getting ready to move, and are re-locating to a new home, we want to know something about where we’re going to, and we’d like to know what its gonna be like.....We’re gonna need to make some changes......

Like our address and our bank accounts and we got to change savings accounts and our investment info..We gotta let our frienda and family know our new address and our new phone number, and so forth....

Now when we’re still living here on earth

we have to make some pre-arrangements for our New Home....That we’re gonna go to after this life is over...AMEN

We need to get our lives in order here...so when Jesus comes back, we get to go with him.....and we don’t end up in that terrible place called hell......

1st Thess. 1:16 says:

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the arch angel and with the trump of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

VS: 17 says:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.....

So where’s our new Address....HEAVEN

Or hell?????

Now if we don’t make the proper address change here...then there’s another destination that we’ll end up at...

It’s called hell....

So very simply we have two locations..

That we can end up in....

Heaven, or hell...

Now lets consider which one is preferred...

I personally prefer Heaven over hell...

For a few simple reasons....

In Heaven, there’s gonna be streets of Gold, Walls of Jasper, Gates of Pearl..an ever flowing river of life....a Mansion waiting...

And we get to fellowship with Jesus and God....and all the saints and our family and friends that were good enough to make it..

We’re gonna be in Worship, We’ll be Serving God, Ruling, Eating,

we’ll have a life of rest, and growth...

A life of Service...

But then on the other hand we have a place called hell...this is a literal place... and the Bible calls it a place where we’ll be cast into outer darkness...This means we’ll be there all alone....

where there’s gonna be weeping & gnashing of teeth...

Where the worm dieth not and the fire is not quenched...

This don’t sound like a very nice neighborhood now does it??? Not someplace where

I feel like I’d like to re-locate to, or move my family to...

Everything I study in my Bible about Heaven is all good stuff....But on the other hand, everything I study in God’s word about hell is nothing but all bad stuff.....

Now like we already said we have to make this decision, as to where we want our new address to be..While were here on this earth...AMEN

Now in our reading Jesus said in Vs. 3

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.....

See The Lord even wants us to be there with Him in Heaven....

He said I go to prepare a place...

That means it’s a place of residence...

First of all Jesus came down from Heaven, Amen...

Then He went back to the Father in Heaven.....AMEN...

Acts 1:10 & 11 says:

And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel.....

Here The Word is telling us that Christ is ascending back to the Father in Heaven....

Vs. 11 says:

Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven?

This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come inn like manner as ye have seen him go into Heaven.....

Plainly the word tells us that He’s gone back to Heaven...

He’s preparing this place for the Righteous!!!!!

And He plainly tells us...

That In my Fathers’ house are many mansions...

So this tells us that Heaven is a prepared place, its prepared for those who will accept Jesus into their hearts here on this earth...

And Jesus goes on to tell us that: In my Fathers house are many mansions.....

So we see it’s a prepared place...prepared by Jesus Himself.....Himself.....

And its already big enough for all of us who choose to go....

And he has prepared it beautiful, for all of us who will make this our home...

When we have company coming to visit we’ll go and make our whole house clean and as nice as we can...

In preparation for our visitors.

So you see this is what Jesus is doing for us..

He is in preparation for our arrival to our new home...
