Summary: Daniel watched till the thrones were put in place. It means that he might have witnessed the unfolding of the end-time events completely, such as the opening of the seven seals, devastations, and so on.

I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire; A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened. Daniel 7:9

Daniel watched till the thrones were put in place. It means that he might have witnessed the unfolding of the end-time events completely, such as the opening of the seven seals, devastations, and so on. Daniel was given the wisdom to understand times and seasons by God, so he could have got a glimpse of the future and witnessed the events of the end times. He might have watched all that happened in heaven and on earth in preparation for the second coming of Jesus. Thrones were put in place, indicating that the courts of the Ancient of Days is being prepared. A throne cannot be kept in a small house, but in the King’s most valuable palace or auditorium or temple.

The Ancient of Days auditorium or temple along with the courts of the Ancient of Days, is being prepared, and it will house thousands of priests, millions of angels, many scribes, nobles, trillions of people and 24 elders. Before the throne is placed, Ancient of Days temple must first be prepared, which involves appointing priests to minister, elders, and so on. Daniel might have seen the end time events as well as the preparation of God’s temple. In the context of Ancient of Days, the auditorium or temple must accommodate thousands upon thousands of angels. Imagine how large an auditorium is required to host the Ancient of Days. It might easily be the size of a thousand earths because it needs to accommodate millions of angels and mankind.

The auditorium or temple is like a volcano or a planet like sun, capable of sustaining extremely high temperatures as streams of fire flow from the presence of the Ancient of Days. Fire is a characteristic of end time work. The throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire; a fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. The end time preachers are filled with this consuming fire, and God's fiery angels carry out God’s end time plans. The thrones had wheels, which could represent working spirits or angels. The working spirits fulfil God's end-time purposes. Daniel might have easily spent 10-15 days watching this living vision or encounter. It carried such a fiery intensity and enormous power.

Daniel might have seen this spectacular view of the end times, which includes many destructions, antichrist, and other events until the thrones were put in its place. Today, we need people who see the Ancient of Days on the throne and from that understanding reveal about the end times. People who were touched by the streams of fire that flowed from His presence. People whose lives have been refined, tested, and burnt by the consuming fire before the throne of Ancient of Days.

Many people talk about the end times, but there is a consuming fire missing in their life. Their discussions and descriptions of the end times don’t have a touch of God’s fire. The fire of God is a distinguishing factor between people who truly know and understand the end times and those who do not.
