Summary: When your back is against the wall and there is no where to turn - God has a plan!

“For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.” 1 Corinthians 1:5

“And Pharaoh came near. And the sons of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them! And they feared greatly; and the sons of Israel cried to Jehovah. And they said to Moses, is it because no graves were in Egypt, that you have taken us to die in the wilderness? What is this you have done to us, to bring us out from Egypt? Is this not the word, which we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, Let us alone and let us serve the Egyptians? For it is

better for us to serve the Egyptians, than to die in the wilderness, and Moses said to the people, DO NOT BE AFRAID; take your stand and see the salvation of Jehovah which He will perform for you today; for as you see the Egyptians today, you shall not continue to see them again forever. And Jehovah said to Moses, why do you cry to me? Speak to the sons of Israel, and go on. And you, raise your staff and stretch out your hand over the sea, and divide it, that the sons of Israel may go in the midst of the sea on dry ground. And I, behold, I am hardening the heart of the Egyptians, and they will go after them, and I will be honored through Pharaoh and through all his armies, through his chariots, and through his horsemen, and the Egyptians shall know that I am Jehovah, in my being honored through Pharaoh and through his chariots, and though his horsemen.” – Exodus 14:10-31

God had a plan - A plan for the lives of the sons of Israel to come to an expected end. He spoke His plan to His prophet and from God’s view point everything was going according to the plan. Then something caused a “glitch”.

It was not the magnitude of the enemy in hot pursuit of God’s people – that was expected. It was not the impossibility of the great sea that was before them – no; that too was expected. It was not the great barren wilderness stretched out before them – all part of the plan. No! It was fear and lack of vision of the people.

In the eyes of flesh the enemy was strong and he was mighty and he was NEAR! To the eyes of flesh death was imminent. Fleshed believed the lie that bondage to the world was greater than a season of suffering for the Kingdom – and oh how the flesh feared!

Out of fear the flesh cried to Jehovah and accused the prophet! This can’t be right! You didn’t hear from God! We’re going to die and never see the word of the Lord come to pass in our lives.

And fear is contagious. Hard-pressed, with people’s lives in the balance, the Prophet speaks words of faith and strength to the people and he too begins to cry out to Jehovah – Save us!!

The Prophet’s spirit spoke – DO NOT BE AFRAID, take your stand, and see the salvation of Jehovah – then his flesh spoke – which HE will perform for you today.

But, Jehovah answered and said, “ Why are you crying to me? Tell them to go on! Stick with the plan, stay on the path, walk by FAITH not by sight – and by the way YOU perform the miracle. I am busy with the hearts of man YOU are equipped to perform and to lead the people.

In Numbers 14:19 Joshua and Caleb took up Moses’ cause when the people again lost the vision, began to fear and then to accuse the prophet and they told the people ‘don’t rebel against God, and don’t fear the people of the land; for they are bread for us, they have no defense left and the Lord is with us – fear them not!’

You see God does not change. He has a plan. He speaks to His prophets. He gives a vision to His people and He equips them. Then He expects them to ‘go on, to walk by faith and not by sight, to trust the Prophets and the word and the spirit within them.

The plan was (and is) go and occupy the land that He has given. Take it – by force and without fear – from the unrighteous that are occupying it. God is still trying to get us to step out in faith, instead of fear and perform (with the authority He has given us) miracles to overtake the enemy and take back what was never his – this Earth.

This earth does not belong to the devil it belongs to God. But, the enemy has come in and taken control because we have no vision and are to full of fear to stop him. Jesus died and took every right Satan ever had from him. Then He gave us all authority and all power. We have the victory. But, just like Israel had to ‘go on’ and not ‘fear the people of the land’ and take the land, so, we too, must rise up in our spirit and establish the dominion of God in the earth today.
