Summary: One degree makes all the difference. For example at 212 degrees water boils. One degree less and it’s just hot water. Abraham’s life took that one degree turn that brought devastation. Let’s see why!

Introduction

Did you know that one degree can make all the difference between disaster or discovery for anyones life?

For example, at 212 degrees water boils, one degree less and it’s just hot water!

Still not convinced, then listen to George Woods as he wrote concerning Korean Airline flight 007 which depart Anchorage, Alaska on Oct 31, 1983.

Unknown to the flight crew the computer engaging the flight navigation system contained a one-and-a-half degree routing error. At the point of departure the mistake was unnoticeable. Once over the Pacific the plane strayed into Soviet space. The plane was shot out of the sky and all lives were lost!

One degree made all the difference.

Abraham now knows that lesson so well. He strayed from God’s plan for his life only by one degree and we have been paying for it ever since. Let’s examine it together!

Main Division

I. The Relationship That Was One Degree Off (Ge 16:1-3)

II. The Results That Was One Degree Off (16:4-7)

III. The Route That Was One Degree Off (Ge 21:1-14)

Conclusion: Make sure you are on target with God!
