Judges 2:14 (Amplified Bible)

So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He gave them into the power of plunderers who robbed them; and He sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could no longer stand before their foes.

Judges 2:14 (King James Version)

And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel, and he delivered them into the hands of spoilers that spoiled them, and he sold them into the hands of their enemies round about, so that they could not any longer stand before their enemies.

A. The LORD GOD gave His people to the power of the plunderers who robbed them.

"So the anger of the Lord was kindled against Israel, and He gave them into the power of plunderers who robbed them;"

2 Kings 17:20 (Amplified Bible)

The Lord rejected all the descendants of Israel and afflicted them and delivered them into the hands of spoilers, until He had cast them out of His sight.

2 Chronicles 15:5 (Amplified Bible)

And in those times there was no peace to him who went out nor to him who came in, but great and vexing afflictions and disturbances were upon all the inhabitants of the countries.

It's a great terrible time to fall in the hands of GOD.

Hebrews 10:31 (Amplified Bible)

It is a fearful (formidable and terrible) thing to incur the divine penalties and be cast into the hands of the living God!

The LORD GOD will make sure that you will get the consequences of rejecting Him instead. Choosing our own way will make it more difficult for us to complete our journey here on earth, but it will be easier if we have GOD, the LORD JESUS in our hearts.
