Summary: Fighting to maintain what God has said in a compromising world.

2 Timothy 1:13,14… Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.

These may look like passages of scriptures that would be quickly read and passed over

The chapter occupies a very recognizable scripture you may be able to quote, but certainly one that would be very familiar to you in verse number 7. It is certainly a scripture a person reading the chapter through might still have his mind on even as they reach verses 13 and 14 and so these two might immediately catch your attention. They might not often be taught on or you may have not heard many sermons from, but slowing down the process of reading these there is a lot of significance to our personal life and evaluation.

Hold fast=Stay true, Clutch on to it with all your might. Hold onto it for dear life. Sound words…Healthy words…Words of life.

That is how with have to acknowledge the true Word of God.

The world wants to try to reshape and change God’s Word

They want to reshape its form to something that is powerless and without life, something that is contemptible in the eyes of God.

When the writers wrote the Word of God they were very meticulous and reverent in writing and before writing the name of God a scribe must wipe his pen first and say, I am writing the name of God for the Holiness of His name.

We need a revival indeed, but a revival of holding fast to the True Word of God! If we don’t live out the True Form of God’s Word we will find ourselves as a nation weighed in the balance and found wanting.

Our nation is waiting for churches to have a revival of Real Truth of God’s Word and be unashamed to live it and proclaim it!

But when you hold fast it has to be in the full purpose of faith and love in Christ. Notice those things can’t be accomplished in any other way but in Christ Jesus. True elements of faith and love is only found in Christ Jesus!

It cannot be reproduced somewhere else. If tried it is a counterfeit.

I can’t express enough how important it is for us today to value verses 13 and 14

We have to build a perimeter around the Truth! We cannot let evil reshape everything we know to be True which is this Word of God, not one word should be diluted!

We have the Holy Ghost living on the inside of us! Value the wonderful life you have in the Holy Ghost because the minute we start to allow a diluted word to become the normal in our life we no longer will operate in the power of God, we will fall short. We can only keep the fight going, keep the sound words, make sure the faith is not made a mockery in our land only by the power of the Holy Spirit in us.

Our land is bleeding to death spiritually through the corruption of all we hold true and dear, the compromise that leads to death of a soul, of a nation.

Value these two verses with all the fervor that Paul told Timothy.
