Summary: What change did you make?
ARE YOU REALY CHANGED?
Ezekiel 36: 26A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
Man was born in sin so he must be born again are he cannot enter heaven.
When man accepts Christ he is born again.
John3: 1There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews:
2The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him.
3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?
5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.
Man is made new in Christ. He has become the son of God
John 1; 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
1. A new creature
2nd Cor.5: 17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
1st Thess.4: 13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
2. New company
John 1: 12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Matt.23: 8But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
2nd Cor.6: 17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
3. New character
Gal.5: 16This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
Walk in the spirit.
Prov.23: 7For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.
Our attitudes thoughts and emotions control our lives.
John 8: 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
We strive to know Christ
1st John 2: 15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
4. New Conversation
Psalm 19: 14Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.
Prov.21: 23Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.
Prov.26: 20Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: so where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth.
