Luke 2:1-20 BEHOLD THE LAMB PROVIDED A Providential Decree - 2:1-5 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus, that all the world should be taxed.

One Lord (Judaism), One Law (Roman), One Language (Greek) (d) A Time Acknowledged By Caeser (He Brought Jesus to Bethlehem) 2) The Place of His Birth - 2:4,5 4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:) (a) It Was a Planned Place Micah 5:2. But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. (b) a Providential Place Nazareth is some 70 miles north of Bethlehem. (c) a Poor Place 2 Cor. 8:9, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” (d) a Prophetic Place 7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
