CHRISTIAN HOLINESS – THIRST FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS

TEXT: HEBREWS 12:14,

2 SAMUEL 5:20, 2 SAMUEL 22:30

INTRODUCTION

Holiness is a divine call to a disciplined life. It is separation from sin, and living the victorious life of Christ. To be holy means that we are, set apart for honourable use. The pursuit of holiness does not end when we come to Christ. In fact, it just begins. There is a positional holiness that we inherit at regeneration and a practical holiness which we must actively pursue. Titus 3:3-5, 1 Corinthians 6:11. 1 Peter 1:14-16.

IS BEING HOLY POSSIBLE?

Holiness is a requirement to every Christian believer. Without Holiness, no one will see the Lord – Hebrews 12:14. The difference between God and us is that He is inherently holy while we, on the other hand, only become holy in relationship to Christ and we only increase in practical holiness as we mature spiritually. Romans 12:2. 2 Corinthians 7:1
