Summary: Complacency is a contagious belief and practice rising among many. The individualistic society seeks to embrace even complacent faith with pride.

Well, 500 years before Christ, Amos was sent to Israelites to warn their complacency (Amos 4:1-5 / 6:1-6) not to condemn but to point their way forward. They had their law, teachers, and religious leaders, but not God because they were following their own self-absorbed life. Due to the complacent life, Amos delivers judgment that would fall on Israel, encouraging Israelites to dust off complacent life, as this would lead to unfruitfulness and ungodliness in their life.

The finest example would be Nicodemus, who was part of a complacent, self-absorbed society, decided to seek Jesus. Though his hesitancy is seen in the beginning, his consistent effort helped him to see the crucified Christ and bury himself along with him. As a result, to be born as a new person. In this world,

Would you raise up today from your complacent faith?

Nicodemus was a true seeker, a seeker of truth rather than being religious. Psalm 4:3, reminds us, that God sets apart the godly for himself. Godliness is the result of earnest longing for truth. Today people seek asylum for their earthly life, an identity for their survival. God never intended to create us to be self-absorbed and fight for once survival. His purpose is beyond the needs and wants of life.

Nicodemus rightly said, no one could perform the signs that Jesus did. He identified the work of God. do you? today people have more false teaching than the teachings of the scripture. what is the reason? most seek to satisfy their belly, rather than seeking God.

Lets learn form Nicodemus to hunger and thirst for truth, we shall find the Lord Jesus in our life.
